Narendra Modi asks teachers to keep abreast with technology

New Delhi, Sep 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhorted teachers to keep abreast with latest technology and use it as part of teaching besides encouraging creativity among the students.

In informal interaction with national awardee teachers on the eve of Teachers' Day, he asked the teaching fraternity to continuously strive towards improving the quality of education in the country.

He said teachers should keep abreast of technology, and imbibe it judiciously as part of the teaching routine.

He urged the teachers to encourage creativity among the students, a PMO statement said. He also called upon the teachers to inculcate the habits of cleanliness among their students.

HRD Minister Smriti Irani and MoS (HRD) Ram Shankar Katheria were present on the occasion.
