Nana Patekar slams Sanjay Dutt's parole extension

Voicing his displeasure over the preferential treatment meted out to Dutt, Nana Patekar on Thursday vowed to boycott the actor by not watching his movies or working with him.
Sanjay Dutt was convicted by the Supreme Court for illegal possession of arms in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case and was sentenced to six years of imprisonment.
The Bombay HC on Wednesday asked the state government for all papers based on which the parole was extended. "The state should exercise its discretionary powers properly and should not discriminate," the Bombay high court said on Dutt's parole.
In less than a year, Dutt was allotted parole thrice. He has been out on parole since December 21 and was to return to the Yerawada Jail in Pune on February 21. He had again applied for parole citing his wife's ailment. Thereby the government extended his parole till March 21.
