Nagpur–Indore Vande Bharat Express To Upgrade With 16 Coaches To Meet Passenger Demand

The Railways has announced an upgrade for the Nagpur–Indore Vande Bharat Express due to increased passenger demand. Starting November 24, the train will operate with 16 coaches instead of the current 8. This change will be applicable for both Indore and Nagpur departures, doubling the train's capacity.

Currently, the train can accommodate 530 passengers. With the new configuration, it will carry up to 1,128 passengers, offering more seating and likely reducing waitlists. An official stated, "Train no 20912/20911 Nagpur–Indore Vande Bharat Express will now run with a 16-coach rake, comprising 2 AC Executive Class and 14 AC Chair Cars."

Additional Halts for Other Vande Bharat Services

Other Vande Bharat services will see changes too. The CSMT–Solapur–CSMT Vande Bharat Express will have a new stop at Daund station. Train no 22225 will reach Daund at 8:13 pm, while Train no 22226 will stop there at 8:08 am. These changes will take effect on November 24.

Similarly, the Pune–Hubballi–Pune Vande Bharat Express will introduce a halt at Kirloskarwadi station. Train no 20670 from Pune will arrive at 5:43 pm starting November 24. Train no 20669 from Hubballi will stop there at 9:38 am, effective from November 26.

The Vande Bharat Express has gained popularity due to its speed and modern amenities. The expanded capacity is likely to make travel more convenient for commuters. Additionally, operational efficiency on the Indore–Nagpur route is expected to improve with the enhanced rake.

This expansion will likely address seating shortages, ensuring a more seamless travel experience. The train is known for its advanced safety features, which also contributes to its high demand among passengers.
