Nagpur Blast: 1 Dead, 6 Injured In An Explosion At A Pharma Unit
A devastating explosion occurred at a pharmaceutical unit in Nagpur, Maharashtra, resulting in one fatality and six injuries. The blast happened inside a glass line reactor at Ankit Pulps and Boards Pvt Ltd in Bhilgaon around 11 am on Tuesday. Emergency services promptly arrived, and the injured were swiftly taken for medical care. The cause of the explosion remains unknown as investigations are underway.
The injured individuals are receiving treatment at a hospital in Kamptee town, with one person reported to be in critical condition. Ankit Pulps and Boards Pvt Ltd specialises in manufacturing microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), which is widely used as an excipient in the pharmaceutical industry. This material also finds applications in the food sector.

Previous Incident: Fire Tragedy
Earlier, on June 14, a fire incident claimed two lives due to suffocation in Nagpur's Mahal area. The fire erupted during welding work on the first floor of a building housing both residential and commercial spaces. The blaze spread quickly because of flammable materials stored there. Girish Khatri, owner of NK Light House, and his worker Vitthal were identified as the deceased.
Firefighters managed to rescue several residents trapped inside the building during the fire incident. The police official mentioned that the fire started in a godown created on the first-floor flat of Jai Kamal Complex near Gandhi Gate.

The exact cause of Tuesday's explosion at Ankit Pulps and Boards Pvt Ltd is still being determined by authorities. Meanwhile, emergency services continue to provide necessary assistance to those affected by this tragic event.
