Nabbing gangster Boxer, a first of its kind op for Delhi Police abroad
Deepak Boxer, one of the Delhi's most wanted gangsters arrested in Mexico will be brought to the capital city later this week.
He was caught by a special team of the Delhi Police with the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Mexico.

He is among one of the most wanted gangsters and will be brought to India in a day or two, an officer said according to reports.
The feat is a big one as it is for the first time that the Delhi Police has arrested a gangster outside India.
Deepak Boxer has been on the run since he murdered a realtor in August 2022.the builder Amit Gupta was shot multiple times on a busy road in Delhi's Civil Lines area.
Deepak had claimed on his Facebook account that he had murdered the builder. He however said that the motive behind the killing was revenge and not extortion.
He further went on to claim that the builder was associated with a rival gang known as the Tilly Tajpuria gang. Amit Gupta was financing that gang, he also claimed.
Deepak Boxer headed the Gogi gang, a position that he had assumed after the murder of Jitendra Gogi in 2021. Gogi was shot b gangsters of the Tillu gang, who had entered the court complex dressed as lawyers.
The deadly Rohini court shootout took place in September 2021 when gangsters Sunil Man and Jitender Mann Gogi were scheduled to appear before a special judge. Sunil was produced before the court half an hour before Gogi. At around 1.15 pm when Jitender was produced before the judge, two men dressed as lawyers entered the premises. They opened fire on Gogi using a .38 bore and .30 bore pistol. The two men Rahul and Morris were killed on the spot, while was declared dead on being taken to the hospital.
The police had announced a reward of Rs 3 lakh for any information on Deepak Boxer. The police said that following the murder Deepak had obtained a fake passport in the name of Ravi Anti and fled the country to Mexico on January 29 from Kolkata.
