Myanmar Military Plane Crashes At Mizoram Airport, Injuring Six
A Myanmar military aircraft crashed at Mizoram's Lengpui airport today, said officials. According to the Mizoram Director General of Police (DGP), at least six individuals were injured in the plane crash involving the Burmese Army.
The Mizoram DGP disclosed that the aircraft, carrying a total of 14 people including the pilot, experienced the crash during landing. Out of these, six sustained injuries, while the remaining eight are confirmed to be safe. All injured individuals have been admitted to Lengpui Hospital.

In a separate incident earlier, over 150 Myanmarese soldiers, commonly known as the 'Tatmadaw,' sought refuge in Mizoram's Lawngtlai district after their camps in Myanmar were overrun by Arakan Army fighters, an armed ethnic group. Assam Rifles officers confirmed that these soldiers, carrying their weapons, sought refuge with the Assam Rifles at Tuisentlang in Lawngtlai district.

Following this, India repatriated at least 184 of these Myanmarese soldiers on Monday. The Assam Rifles also verified that a total of 276 Myanmar Army personnel had sought refuge in Mizoram's Lawngtlai district on January 17 after their camps were captured by Arakan Army militants. The soldiers, who entered Bandukbanga village at the India-Myanmar-Bangladesh trijunction, sought assistance from the Assam Rifles. They were subsequently taken to Assam Rifles' Parva camp in the district.
On January 2 and 9, a Myanmar military aircraft transported a total of 151 Myanmarese soldiers back to their home country from Lengpui airport.
