Muzaffarnagar: Love blossoms at the time of riots

Muzaffarnagar
Muzaffarnagar, Oct 8: There were reports of couples coming together in the relief camps of riot-hit Muzaffarnagar.

However, on October 7, one hundred and sixty couples tied knots amid the tensions of riots. Displaced by last month's riots, these couples were living in a relief camp, and tied knots at a mass wedding at Shahpur in the district.

The 'nikah' was performed by a Maulana Mahmood Madani, who is the general secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind. Madani said that the organization has donated Rs 15,000 and a few essential items for daily use. Several people lost their homes and got displaced to relief camps in the riot-hit areas of Muzaffarnagar.
