UP clash: 1 person shot dead, 2 injured
Muzaffarnagar, June 13: One person was shot dead while two others were injured in a clash here in the Jandath area, police said.
According to Circle Officer Mukesh Mishra, the deceased has been identified as Santerpal (45).

Trouble started as an altercation broke out last night between Santerpal and Mahabir that soon turned violent with more people joining in and firearms being used by the clashing sides, police said.
Mahabir and one Harpal sustained bullet injuries and have been admitted to hospital, they said. Security has been tightened in the village with the deployment of additional personnel, they added.
Meanwhile, in a separate case yesterday, the body of a 24- year-old youth was recovered here who had gone missing earlier this week.
Kotwali police said that Salman's body was found with the throat slit. Three persons -- Tehseen, Danish and Mehraj -- have been arrested in connection with the murder which, they said, is likely the result of an old enmity.
