Muzaffarnagar: 19-year-old student shoots himself in school

Muzaffarnagar, Jan 19: A 19-year-old student on Monday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in his school premises in Pachenda village here, police said.

According to police, Tushar, an eleventh standard student, took the extreme step this morning at his institution's ground under New Mandi police station in the district.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead, they said.

The cause for the suicide is yet to to be ascertained, they said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, police said, adding that the cause of his will be investigated.
