Murli Manohar Joshi releases a book on parliament's functioning

New Delhi, Aug 8 BJP senior leader and Chairperson of Estimates Committee Murli Manohar Joshi released a book titled "The Indian Parliament - Beyond the Seal and Signature of Democracy" in Parliament Annexe building on Monday.

The book is penned by Devender Singh, Additional Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat.

Joshi said that the book draws attention to the general concern about the working of Parliament, its highs and the lows.

"This book is a commendable narrative, an anthology as much an anatomy, and would be found immensely useful by one and all interested in the working of Parliament," Joshi said.

The book is an attempt to understand the powers, functions and procedures of Parliament, elections and electoral systems and nature and role of political parties in a parliamentary democracy.
