Murder Of MBA Student From Tripura Is Not Just Crime, It Is Shame On System: Arvind Kejriwal

The brutal killing of a young MBA student from Tripura in BJP-ruled Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, has sent shockwaves across the country, casting a harsh spotlight on the deepening crisis of racial violence and institutional apathy. Expressing grave concern, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal described the murder as shocking and heart-wrenching, stating that the student was stabbed to death solely because of his identity.

The AAP Chief noted that this was not merely a criminal act but a stain on the entire system, and argued that such recurring, hate-driven violence makes a compelling case for a strong national law to confront and deter racist crimes in India.

On Monday, sharing the news on X about the racially motivated killing of a student from Tripura in Dehradun, Arvind Kejriwal wrote: "Shocking and heartbreaking. A young MBA student from Tripura is stabbed to death in Dehradun because of his identity. This is not just a crime, it is a shame on the system. The country needs strict action and a national law against racism and hate crimes. Justice must be swift and exemplary."

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stated that a student from Tripura, Anjel Chakma, was killed in BJP-ruled Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The party said the attack occurred because the student objected to racial remarks and asked the attackers to stop making such comments. Following this, the assailants publicly assaulted him on the road and left him grievously injured. After battling between life and death for several days, the student succumbed to his injuries.
