The tea estate served as a second home for Jayalalithaa. The workers at the estate fondly remembered her following her death and said that she would stop by and talk to them every time she visited the place. The tea estate had come under the scanner of investigators probing the disproportionate assets case. There was talk that the tea estate would be seized following the DA case verdict.
The court had however abated Jayalalithaa as she had died. As a result of this, the properties owned by her would not come under the scanner of the agencies.
