Mumbai: Voters find their names missing from list

Mumbai, April 24: Many voters in Mumbai, including celebrities like Deepak Parakh and Ram Jethmalani, were in for a shock on Thursday when they found that their names were missing in the voters list.

Voting is underway for six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai.

In Pune as many as one lakh names of electors with ID cards were missing from the voters list. Polling was disrupted by faulty Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) at a booth.

Angry Pune voters boycotted the polling for nearly three hours before frantic election officials ordered a replacement EVM.
