The delay in announcing Mumbai University results 2017 have caused much anguish to students

The Mumbai University has cut down fees for reevaluation by 50 per cent. Students applying for re-evaluation can now pay Rs 300 instead of Rs 600. The photocopy of the answer sheet will be sent via e-mail instead of the student coming to collect it physically, the Mumbai University said.

The management decided to slash re-evaluation fees to pacify students who are already irate over the delay in declaring Mumbai University results 2017. The University faculty is working overtime to complete evaluation and moderation of answer papers giving rise to concerns over the quality of assessment. Now, the students can pay Rs 250 for re-evaluation and Rs 50 for digital copy of the answer sheet which will be sent via e-mail.

Students who have been protested against the University had also sought a reduction of charges on re-evaluation and photocopy of answer sheets. The university has maintained that the move to send answer sheets via e-mail was proposed to save paper and take forward its digital push.

"The university will no longer have to spend money on taking photocopies of the answer sheets, as they would be sent to the students in digital format. The re-evaluation process will also be convenient for them, as it will be carried out through respective colleges. Students won't have to visit the varsity to collect their answer sheets," University officials told the media.
