Mumbai techie arrested for stalking woman, ringing doorbell at 2 AM

A bureaucrat's daughter in Chandigarh had taken to social media to share stalking by Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala’s son.

An IT professional was arrested in Mumbai for stalking a fashion designer, following her to her residence and ringing the doorbell at 2 AM on Sunday. Aditi Nagpaul took to Facebook to explain the ordeal shocked at the stalker's audacity.

Following a formal complaint by the woman, the Mumbai police arrested 36-year-old Nitesh Kumar Sharma who was captured by the CCTV camera standing outside Nagpaul's door. According to the complaint, the man spotted Nagpaul when she was returning home in her car with her children. The accused allegedly started following her.

"He dint have any fear in his eyes, a fear of being captured by security cameras , interrogation by security guards or threats of Police! He just hung around coolly in his car long after the incident very comfortable in getting his pictures clicked!(SIC)" she said in her facebook post.

The man is said to have left the building in Shastri Nagar of Lokhandwala only after Nagpaul raised an alarm. A case was registered at the Amboli police station under IPC section 354 (D) for stalking. Within hours the accused was nabbed and the woman congratulated the Mumbai police.

The incident comes on the close heels of Varnika Kundu a Chandigarh resident and a bureaucrat's daughter accusing Haryana JP chief Barala's son of stalking her.
