The incident took place at Kalpana Chawla Chowk in the Soni Wadi area of Borivali. According to civic officials, the scaffolding from the 16th floor of the building gave way, causing four workers to fall and sustain severe injuries. They were rushed to the nearby Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, where three of them were unfortunately pronounced dead, while the fourth victim remains in critical condition.

Tragically, they fell into a duct on the ground floor from the 16th level.
Eyewitness Account

Legal Action Initiated
Hours after the accident, the Borivali police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against three individuals, including the contractor of the under-construction building. The case was filed against contractor Saroj Kumar Chakrapani Salla (35), site engineer Dhananjay Vijay Parab (29), and foreman Rahul alias Liton Badal Biswas (35).
Police Statement and Ongoing Investigation
Senior Inspector Neenad Sawant provided further details about the incident and the legal proceedings.
