Mumbai rains: Where to reach out for help

Mumbai has been experiencing continuous and heavy downpour since Saturday morning, with the regional Meteorological Centre, Colaba predicting the situation to remain the same for next 24 hours.

The disaster management team and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are on alert and water logging has been reported in several parts of the city.

Regional Meteorological Centre has issued heavy rainfall warning for next three days in Maharashtra.

Thousands of men, women and children are stuck in the downpour.

In this hour of crisis, Mumbaikars have created a crowd-sourcing group to bring together Good Samaritans, who are willing to to help needy people.

Those people are ready to offer food, shelter or at least a cup of tea to people stuck in incessant rain.

Also, there are people who are ready to help stranded women.
