Mumbai rains: Roads to avoid, traffic advisory, trains suspended
People have termed as typhoon like weather in Mumbai. In the past 12 hours rains have flooded some low lying areas. Traffic has been thrown out of gear and images were posted showing cars moving in ankle deep water.
The fear of uncovered drains and pot holes being covered in water also added to the woes of the people.

Traffic crawls
People have been advised to avoid this area. A tree has fallen near Ravindranatya Mandir, Prabhadevi. A jam has been caused because of this. This road should be avoided said Avni Raja on Twitter.

Dadar
A tree was spotted on slow track between Elphistone and Dadar. Very slow traffic was also reported at Marol Persian Durbar. Due to heavy rains, traffic is very slow. Very poor visibility at Dadar was also reported.

Lower Parel
People have also been reporting slow moving traffic at Lower Parel. Rains have led to heavy water logging in this area. Suburban train service suspended on main line between Parel and Kurla from 1230 hrs and on Harbour line between Vadala Road-Kurla from 1220hrs.

Churchgate Junction
The Mumbai traffic police said, "Traffic affected at the Churchgate junction due to an incident of tree fall and at Dadar TT due to water logging.

Mumbai police warning
Traffic moving slow at Akruti mall, Andheri, WEH, Bahar bridge, Andheri, Santacruz airport bridge sliproad (southbound). A tree has fallen at Saat Rasta, near the petrol pump thus affecting traffic. Further people can also contact traffic helpline on 8454999999. The police say that traffic is moving very slowly at multiple places due to heavy rains and water logging. Travel with care, the police have also advised.
