Mumbai Police tweets out important message to stalkers
The Mumbai police had recently shared a photo with a stern message to the stalker that "if they are stalking someone, look behind, we are following you too".
According to a media report, a girl had called up Mumbai Police Control Room for help upon noticing two bikers stalking her after which they quickly swung into action. The police kept on tracking her route. Meanwhile the victim even sent out the pictures of the stalkers on the Mumbai police handle.
She tweeted,''@MumbaiPolice Alert: two boys on a scooty passing lewd comments and chasing the Rick on Andheri Link Road.''
Quick to notice, the police soon caught the stalkers and even tweeted out to the woman, along with a photo of one of the bikers, saying: ".@Asira_Tarannum reported stalking with a picture of the stalker & his vehicle number Didn't take long for us to hunt down the accused".
Mumbai police's Twitter handle has helped many Mumbaikars to share their ordeal, and the police has acted quickly by posting a reply to the tweet immediately and guiding the complainant with the procedure.
