Mumbai Police Capture Gulamuddin Farooqui for Alleged Murder of Beautician in Jodhpur
A man has been detained in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old woman in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The accused, Gulamuddin Farooqui, allegedly buried the victim's body in a pit. Police confirmed his arrest on Thursday.

Gulamuddin was on the run for nine days before being captured by officers from V P Road Police Station and Rajasthan Police. He was found hiding in South Mumbai, according to an officer. After his arrest, he was handed over to Jodhpur Police for further investigation.
Details of the Crime
Anita Chaudhary, a beautician, was reportedly killed by Gulamuddin in late October. The motive was to steal her gold jewellery. Her body was dismembered and buried in a 10-foot pit near Gulamuddin's home.
The crime came to light on October 28 when a case was filed at the police station. Investigations revealed Anita had visited Gulamuddin's house on the day she disappeared.
Investigation and Arrest
During questioning, Gulamuddin's wife confessed that her husband committed the murder. While Gulamuddin remained at large, his wife was taken into custody.
After committing the crime, Gulamuddin fled to Mumbai by train to avoid arrest. The police official added this detail during the investigation.
