Mumbai Miracle: Vada Pav vendor becomes crorepati in one night!

Mumbai, Jan 13: He never dreamt of becoming a crorepati in his lifetime but miracle happens and currently it is happening with Gurudasani. 42-year-old Gurudasani, a vada pav vendor, has become a crorepati overnight.

He has been living all alone since last three years. Gurudasani, who earns Rs 150 a day, has seen the darkest side of life when his wife along with their kids left him due to their acute poverty.

However, fate had different plans for him. Gurudasani was busy in his daily work at Ambernath Tea Stall when he met his angel. A customer at the tea stall informed him that his grandfather had left two plots in Kalyan, Mumbai - One at Ashalegaon (2 acres) worth Rs 5 crore and another at Wadeghar (7.5 acres) worth Rs 30 crore.

Gurudasani filed an RTI application soon after getting information from the customer. The vada pav vendor then got to know that his grandfather was allocated the plot by the central government when he was displaced post-partition. However, his grandfather, who died in 1984, himself was unaware of such plots allocated to him.

When Gurudasani tried to get more information regarding the property, local mafia had usurped both the plots by making a woman pose as his grandmother.

Without wasting time, he filed an FIR and police cracked down on the land mafia, arresting one of the accused in connection with the case.

According to sources, while Gurudasani's elder sister is supposed to get 40% of the property, Gurudasani and his two brothers with get 20% each. If everything goes well, Gurudasani will get Rs 7 crore.
