Mumbai Horror: When dead man came alive in mortuary
Mumbai, Oct 13: Doctors, who were present in the mortuary of Sion Hospital in Mumbai, got scared when a dead man started breathing suddenly. The man, who was believed to be dead, was lucky enough as he regained consciousness minutes before postmortem.
The doctors were preparing for the postmortem when they noticed the "dead man" moving. The incident took place in the hospital in Mumbai on Sunday, Oct 11.

The man has been identified as 50-year-old Prakash who was found in a bus stop. Police brought his body and insisted that he was dead. Doctors claimed that his pulse and heartbeat were missing when he was brought to the hospital.
A senior official of the hospital was quoted as saying, "The patient was on a stretcher and his face and ear was infested with maggots. The patient also had fixed dilated pupils, a condition common in patients who are close to death. This could have led the doctor to believe that the patient was dead."
The hospital authorities have begun an investigation into the case. They also said that they would come up with some protocol to avoid such kind of incidents in future.
