Mumbai Horror: Mother directs son to rape 16-year-old niece

Mumbai, Nov 30: A 16-year-old girl was raped by her cousin following the instructions of his mother. The shocking news ashamed everyone. The incident took place in Mumbai.

The woman, who is the aunt of the victim, asked his son to rape the girl as the latter's family dismissed the former's marriage proposal.

The accused along with her son has been arrested by Navpada police. The woman instructed her 31-year-old son how to commit the crime.

It has been reported that the 31-year-old man wanted to marry the girl. When she denied, he disclosed about his feelings to his mother.

The mother-son duo approached the victim's parents and gave marriage proposal. However, the family of victim refused the marriage proposal and irked the accused.

According to police sources, the girl, who now studies in a junior college, has been staying with her aunt (the accused) for last seven years.

Her parents, who stay in Nagpur, sent her to Mumbai, so that she can better opportunities. The accused has been identified as 48-year-old Shakira Bano.

Speaking about the case, one police official was quoted as saying, "Her elder son Rashid Ali, 31, wanted to marry the 16-year-old girl. He also approached her many times with the proposal, but she had refused him. Rashid then told his mother about his feelings, who approached her brother's family with the proposal. The girl's parents refused."
