Mumbai: Ex-state minister accused of rape
Earlier this year, the college authorities were accused of duping 58 students who had registered for seats online and had paid their fees, but were denied admission.
While Dhoble was one of the accused, the ckerk too was held for embezzling the admission fees given by the 58 students.
On Friday, the clerk approached the Borivali police station, accusing the ex-minister of raping her on several occassions in his cabin. The police, though suspicious of the allegations because of changing statements, has registered an FIR.
A police official said that a chargesheet has been filed under 376 of the IPC."Based on the complaint, we have registered a case against Dhoble. Currently we are taking statements and verifying facts. The complainant however is changing her statement. Her recollection of the incident was not accurate and she does not remember it properly. We have sent her for a medical test. Once proper investigation is done, action will be taken."
