Mumbai, Nov 5: Mumbai police is just hours late into laying its hands on Chhota Rajan, the most-wanted terrorist in India. The department believes that interrogating him would solve several cases, most imortantly the murder case of senior journalist J Dey, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and the Pakmodia street firing case.

An IPS officer said,"We have solved most of the cases in which Rajan has been named as wanted; however there are cases like senior journalist J Dey murder case in which we don't know about the motive."

Mumbai police is also planning to confront him with Vora who was involved in the murder of Dey. He said,"We know that the attack on Dey was commissioned by Rajan and Vora had helped him by sending Dey's identification details. Vora had maintained that she was unaware that Rajan was hatching a plan to kill Dey. Hence it is important for us to confront both of them."

He further added,"We might confront Iqbal Kaskar with Rajan too as we believed that in Pakmodia Street firing Kaskar was the target but his bodyguard-cum-driver Arif Sayed Abu Bukha was killed. We want to ascertain what was the motive behind commissioning the attack apart from Rajan-Dawood rivalry."

A total of 75 cases have been registered against Rajan. Mumbai police is sequencing the cases in order of severity. They said,"We are looking at around 15 cases in which we can put up strong case against Rajan and have direct evidence. There are a number of cases that are decade old and their papers are been looked for. But we believe the recent 15 cases registered against Rajan are the strongest and we have good evidence against him."

Meanwhile Chhota Rajan's deportation has been delayed due to a volcanic eruption in a nearby island in Bali.
