Mumbai-Bound Train Derailed In Jharkhand: Indian Railways Shares Helpline Numbers

A Mumbai bound Howara-CSMT train derailed in Jharkhand's Badabamboo on Tuesday morning. According to the reports, nearly 18 coaches of the train moved down the track and turned over. In this saddening incident, 2 people have lost their lives and over 20 got severely injured. The train accident happened at around 3.45am and accident spot is around 80 km from Jamshedpur.

Soon after being informed, rescue teams, ambulances and local police reached the spot and started rescuing people. An official at the derailment site told media that local authorities are trying their level best and rescue operation is underway.

West Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary, who was present at the accident site, confirmed the number of deaths. He said, "Two people were killed and 20 injured as 18 coaches of Howrah-Mumbai Mail derailed near Barabamboo. Rescue operations is underway."

Senior Railways official Om Prakash Charan said of the 18 coaches that derailed, 16 were passenger coaches, one power car and one pantry car.
