Mukesh Ambani Regains Top Position In Forbes India Richest List 2023

Billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani has regained the top position in Forbes India Richest List 2023.

With a net worth of $92 billion, Ambani has now become the richest individual in India. He is followed by Gautam Adani, the Chairman of Adani, possessing a net worth of $68 billion, Shiv Nadar from HCL Tech with $29.3 billion, Savitri Jindal of OP Jindal Group boasting $24 billion, and Radhakishan Damani from Avenue Supermarts with $23 billion.

Forbes says, "The needle has not moved much this year regarding the collective wealth of India's 100 wealthiest people. At $799.32 billion, it is a touch lower than $799.78 billion in 2022."

It has to be noted that Savitri Jindal, with a net worth of $24 billion, is the wealthiest woman in India.

Seven individuals have made their comeback to the list as it now requires a minimum net worth of $2.3 billion for inclusion. On the other hand, eight individuals, including Byju Raveendran and DivyaGokulnath, who were on the list last year, have been omitted from the list.

The list also has three new entrants - Renuka Jagtiani, chairwoman of the Landmark Group, the Dani family of Asian Paints, and garment exporter KP Ramasamy, the founder and chairman of KPR Mill.

This year, there are only three new entrants on the list, including Renuka Jagtiani, chairwoman of the Landmark Group, succeeding her late husband Micky Jagtiani, who passed away in May.
