MP, Rajasthan Pre Poll Predictions: BJP To Outperform Cong, Says India TV-CNX Survey
Rahul Gandhi had recently exuded confidence about a good performance in the upcoming assembly poll as he said that the grand old party is certainly winning Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, probably winning Telangana, and there is a "very close" contest in Rajasthan which the party believes it will emerge victorious in.
Among the five states that will go to polls in the next two months, two states that both Congress and the BJP are in a close fight are Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. While the BJP has been in power in MP for 18 years, the Congress is currently ruling Rajasthan.

While all eyes are on the survey report on the assembly polls, an opinion poll on the next Lok Sabha has said that the BJP will outperform the Congress in the general elections if held today.
According to India TV-CNX Survey, the BJP may win 25 out of 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh despite Shivaraj Singh Chouhan's government facing the anti-incumbency heat. It means the saffron party will lose three compared to its performance in 2019.
In Rajasthan, the BJP is predicted to win 23 Lok Sabha with a vote share of 49 per cent while the Congress will win two seats with 41 per cent, the opinion poll said. The state has 25 Lok Sabha seats out of which the BJP had bagged 24 seats in the last Lok Sabha elections.
Similarly, in Chhattisgarh, the BJP is expected to win 7 seats with 46 per cent vote share while the Congress is likely to win 4 seats with 43 per cent vote share.
Overall, the survey done in 18 states reveals that the BJP will win 118 seats while the INDIA alliance will bag 110 seats.
The survey was conducted between September 20 and October 3 with a sample size of 54,250 voters, which included 28,309 males and 25,941 females.
