MP Horror: Woman, Lover Killed; Bodies Dumped Into Crocodile-Infested River
In a suspected case of honour killing, a couple was shot dead and thrown into a crocodile-infested river in Madhya Pradesh.
The victims have been identified as 18-year-old Shivani Tomar and 21-year-old Radheshyam Tomar. They were allegedly killed at Ratanbasai village in Morena district. The incident occurred on June 3.

Their bodies were tied to heavy stones and dumped into a crocodile-infested river. It is reported that her family was against the relationship with Radheshyam, who was from her neighbouring village Balupuru.
Radheshyam's father had filed a complaint with the police claiming that his son was missing for several days and suspected that they might have been killed. At the initial stage of the investigation, the cops suspected that they might have run away, but as none saw them leaving the village, they questioned the woman's family.
During the interrogation, they admitted that they killed both of them. "We interrogated the family members of the woman during which they confessed to the crime. The woman's family told us that murdered the couple and threw their bodies into Chambal river. We took the help of rescue teams to retrieve the bodies," said a police officer.
It has to be noted that the Chambal Gharial sanctuary has over 2,000 gharial (alligator) and 500 freshwater crocodiles.
