MP to give Rs 25 lakh to Sakshi, offers training to Deepa
Bhopal, Aug 19: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced a Rs 25 lakh reward for Sakshi Malik, who won a freestyle wrestling bronze medal in the 58 kg category at the ongoing Rio Olympics.
He also announced that the state will ensure proper training for the next Olympics for woman gymnast Deepa Karmakar, who missed an Olympic medal this time, in case she so desired.

In his congratulatory message to Sakshi, the Chief Minister said she had created history by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to win an Olympic medal.
He also congratulated Indian woman shuttler P.V. Sindhu for her semi-final win.
Sindhu defeated Nozomi Okuhara of Japan to enter the final of the women's singles event in badminton.
