Mother of Meerut Murder Victim Urges PM Modi For Justice, Voices Fears For Granddaughter’s Safety

The father of Muskan Rastogi, one of the accused in the Meerut murder case, has condemned her actions as "very wrong" and demanded that she receive the death penalty. Meanwhile, the mother of the victim, Saurabh Rajput, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to conduct a thorough investigation into her son's murder and ensure the strictest punishment for the accused.

Brutal Murder and Cover-Up
Saurabh Rajput was allegedly murdered on the night of March 4 by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. The duo gruesomely chopped up his body and concealed the remains in a cement-filled drum before fleeing to Himachal Pradesh. During this time, Muskan left her five-year-old daughter, whom she shared with Rajput, in the care of her parents.

Upon their return to Meerut, Muskan's parents questioned her about Saurabh's whereabouts, leading her to confess the crime. Her father, Pramod, then took her to the police station, where she provided details of the murder to the authorities.

Meanwhile, Saurabh Rajput's mother, speaking to ANI, expressed distress over not being able to see her granddaughter since the murder. Fearing for the child's safety, she demanded custody, stating that they should be the ones to raise her.

Call for Capital Punishment
"I want justice. The culprits deserve the death penalty," Rajput's mother stated. She appealed to PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath for a thorough investigation, whether through the Crime Branch or the CBI, to uncover every detail behind her son's murder. "I want to know everything-the motive, their conversations, and the reason behind the fight. I need all the answers," she asserted.

Expressing concern for her granddaughter, she questioned, "If Muskan could kill her own husband, what could she do to the little girl?"

She also recounted that her son had visited her on March 3 but had mentioned nothing about any marital disputes. "If there were serious problems, he would have said something when he came that night. He didn't even drink when he was here. I was upset that he came late, letting the food get cold. But he told me he would have dinner with his wife. He always brought food for her," she recalled.

Muskan's Father Insists on Justice for Son-in-Law
Muskan's father, Pramod, played a key role in solving the case. On their way to the police station, he urged his daughter to tell the truth. Upon being pressed, Muskan confessed that she and Sahil Shukla had murdered Saurabh together.

Muskan's parents have now demanded the strictest punishment for their daughter. "What she did was very wrong," her father stated. "Justice should be swift, and nothing less than the death penalty is acceptable. My son-in-law deserves justice."

Currently, both Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla are lodged in Meerut district jail.
