Moreh Commando Units to Relocate for Enhanced Security
Manipurs security advisor, Kuldiep Singh, announces the relocation of three state police commando units from vulnerable locations in Moreh town following a militant attack. The decision aims to improve security measures and counter militant activities effectively.
In the wake of a militant attack on state police commando units in Moreh town, Manipur's security advisor, Kuldiep Singh, announced the decision to relocate the affected units to safer locations. The current positions of the commando units were deemed unsuitable, making them vulnerable to attacks from elevated positions in the town.

Intelligence Report Warned of Insurgent Assaults
Singh revealed that an intelligence report had forewarned of potential assaults by insurgents, including reinforcements from Burma. However, no evidence currently links foreign parties to the recent incident.
Relocation to Higher Areas for Effective Countermeasures
Addressing a press conference, Singh explained that the commando units were situated in lower areas of the town, leaving them susceptible to attacks from the surrounding hills. To address this vulnerability, the units will be relocated to higher areas, enabling them to effectively counter militant threats.
Operations Against Militants Commence
Singh announced the commencement of operations against the militants on Thursday evening. Additional reinforcements, including a company of the Border Security Force (BSF), two army columns, and four casper vehicles, have arrived in Moreh. Furthermore, a helicopter from the Union Home Ministry has also reached the area to provide support.
Collaborative Action Against Militants
Singh emphasized the importance of collaboration among all forces involved in the operations against the militants. Measures have been taken to ensure effective coordination and joint action to neutralize the threats posed by the insurgents.
