Monu Manesar Breaks Silence On Nuh Violence In Haryana

Cow vigilante Monu Manesar, whose objectionable video posted on social media triggered violence in Nuh near Gurugram, has broken his silence on issue.

He has denied giving a provocative speech and held Congress MLA Mamin Khan responsible for the violence in Haryana that killed six people.

"Congress MLA Mamin Khan is responsible. I work to save cows and I always work along with the administration. But Hindus will not tolerate what happened with them in Haryana," Times Now quoted the cow vigilante as news media.

According to some claims, the trigger for the violence was an objectionable video posted on social media in Ballabhgarh. However, the cops have now booked Dinesh Bharti, the leader of the right-wing Jai Bharat Mata Vahini for allegedly posting the said video.

He joined the Bajrang Dal as a co-coordinator in his home district Manesar in 2011 and was a member of the district cow protection task force formed by authorities after Haryana's cow protection law came into force in December 2015.

After completing class 12, Monu had joined a polytechnic.

The 30-year-old is the district president of Bajrang Dal and frequently courts controversy over the actions of his own cow protection group and shares videos of vigilantes chasing, confronting and nabbing alleged cow smugglers. The videos, mostly live streams, have thousands of views and comments.

He received a silver play button from YouTube in October last year as the number of subscribers crossed one lakh.

Also, he is one of the accused in the alleged abduction and killing of two Muslim men whose charred bodies were found in the Bhiwani district of Haryana, earlier this year.

However, he has denied his involvement in the case.
