'We are looking into the incident. It is too early to say anything. We are yet to question the arrested men,'' a police officer said.

The former MP was killed hours after his son Asad Ahmed's last rite.

Atiq, a former Samajwadi Party (SP) MP, and his brother Ashraf were brought to Prayagraj for a court hearing in connection with the Umesh Pal murder case.

Atiq was accused in the BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case of 2015 as well as for the murder of Umesh Pal, which occurred in February this year.
