Modi's speech is a farrago of misrepresentations and half truth: Shashi Tharoor

Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in Lok Sabha, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday said that Modi might be a terrific orator but this speech is a farrago of misrepresentations and half truth.

Also, Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said,"It is time that Modi ji realises it has been four years now. People were fed up because of Congress and that is why they chose you. People want to hear your schemes and not criticism of Congress.''

Earlier in the day, Modi launched a fresh attack at the Congress Party, saying the country has been suffering due to the "wrong" policies it has pursued since independence and that the party has spent time singing paeans to one family instead of focusing on people's welfare.

Replying in the Lok Sabha to the Motion of Thanks on President's address, PM Modi also criticised the TDP over bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, alleging that it did so only for "political" considerations without any preparation for which the people were facing hardships.
