Modi, Rajnath to attend crucial BJP meeting, parties gear up for 2014

New Delhi, Dec 24: Gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharat Janata Party (BJP) election campaign committee will hold a crucial meeting in New Delhi today. Top leaders like Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh will attend the meeting. The agenda for election campaign will be set in the meeting, sources said.

The Congress has also stepped up their campaign with Rahul Gandhi meeting minority community leaders in Uttar Pradesh. "There is no place for fear in secular India, he assured them. Rahul had met muslims in Muzaffarnagar, where a communal riot had broke out this year.

Congress leader Jayanthi Natarajan had resigned from the cabinet last week to work for the party ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and many more ministers have expressed willingness to resign to work for the party.

Debutant Aam Aadmi Party is also bracing up for elections. The party which gave a stellar performance in Delhi assembly polls have decided to field candidates for Lok Sabha polls in states like Gujarat, sources said.
