Modi Mania grips the world: Twitter flooded with #SelfieWithDaughter pics

Bengaluru, June 29: Minutes after Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme on Sunday, June 28, micro-blogging site Twitter has been flooded with pics, in which parents across the world have been shared their images with their daughters.

Celebrities to aam aadmi (common man), everyone shared their pictures with daughters expressing their love for their daughters.

Narendra Modi, during his Mann Ki Baat programme on Sunday, urged everyone to share their images on Twitter, so that he can re-tweet them. The Prime Minister promoted the unique idea of a sarpanch (village panchayat chief) in Jind, Haryana.

The sarpanch had initiated the contest -- clicking "selfie with daughter". He wanted to make sure people know how important daughters are. Now, the prime minister promoted the campaign for the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' (Save your Daughter, Teach your Daughter) campaign, recently launched by his NDA government.
