'Modi Ki Guarantee' BJP's Promises For Next 5 Years, Manifesto Reads
Shri Narendra Modi is expected to take oath and become India's prime minister again for the next five years on Sunday, 9 June, according to reports. The NDA alliance managed to win the majority in the number of seats for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with BJP alone winning 240 seats, 52 seats shy of winning the full majority of 272 seats by themselves.
With this in mind, let's see what the BJP has planned for the next five years of their governance of India by looking into their Manifesto for the 2024 elections.

First Few Pages Of BJP's 2024 Manifesto:
The manifesto's title on its first page reads 'Modi Ki Guarantee' and the motto at the bottom, 'Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkaar'. It's signed by BJP president, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Chairperson of the Manifesto Committee, Rajnath Singh, and Shri Narendra Modi.
As part of his letter to the public, he wrote, "Our Sankalp Patra is more than just a collection of promises. This Sankalp Patra outlines the collective aspirations and goals of our nation, by our nation and for our nation. As you have seen in the last ten years, it is Modi's Guarantee that every promise made is fulfilled."
Promises Made By BJP's 2024 Manifesto:
The manifesto first took a lot at all the developments made by the BJP government for the past ten years in areas like helping poor citizens, women, the youth, farmers, vulnerable communities, safety from terrorism, cultural development, economy development, and globalisation.
For the next five years, the manifesto makes promises to continue the development in all these fields and more. Some specific promises include:
- Providing free electricity to poor households under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
- Strengthening the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, in order to make the real estate sector more transparent and citizen friendly.
- Empowering three crore rural women to become Lakhpati Didi's, or member's of an SHG who have an annual household income of more than ₹1 lakh.
- Enacting a strict law to stop misconduct in recruitment exams across the country, like the leaking of papers
- Expanding the 'Ayushman Bharat Yojana' to cover senior Citizens and provide them access to free and quality healthcare.
- Providing annual financial assistance of ₹6,000 under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
- Investing ₹24,000 crore through PM JANMAN to bring the socio-economic status of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group on par with society.
- Implementing CAA to confer citizenship to all eligible persons.
- Guaranteeing that India will be the third largest economy
- Adding 5000+ km of new railway tracks every year, which they plan to continue to add at this pace for the next few years.
- Committing to further holistic development of Ayodhya.
- Completely overhauling the commercial and civil justice systems, on the lines of criminal justice reforms.
- Increasing the number of UG and PG seats in medical education.
- Working towards achieving net zero emissions by 2070.
Only time will tell, though, whether these promises are realised by the government by the time the 2029 elections roll around.
