'Modi has Lord Rama's blessings, will curb price rise'

Lucknow, Oct 23: Union minister Uma Bharti has said the spiralling prices, especially of pulses and essential commodities, will soon be brought under control.

Speaking at a Dussehra event in her parliamentary constituency of Jhansi on Thursday night, the union water resources minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has Lord Rama's blessings and he would succeed in reining the prices very soon.

Later, the minister sought blessings of Lord Rama and his consort Sita before an effigy of demon king Ravana was consigned to flames.

The event took place at the Gymkhana Grounds at Sadar Bazaar in Jhansi.

Also present along with Uma Bharti was former union minister and senior Congress leader Pradip Aditya Jain, who earlier represented Jhansi in the Lok Sabha.
