Modi greets people on occasion of Easter
The day of resurrection of Jesus Christ, was celebrated in many churches with religious fervour and enthusiasm by Christians across the country.
New Delhi, April 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the people on the occasion of Easter.
"Easter greetings to everyone. May the teachings of Jesus Christ further the spirit of harmony, compassion and togetherness in our society," he tweeted.

Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead which occurred three days after his crucifixion.
Earlier on Friday, Modi expressed esteem for the service and sacrifice of Christ, saying his life was devoted to mitigating human suffering. "Today, on Good Friday, we remember the service & sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His was a life devoted to mitigating human suffering," he tweeted.
