PM Narendra Modi greets nation on Eid Milad-un-Nabi

New Delhi, Jan 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted people on the occasion of Prophet Mohammad's birthday Eid Milad-un-Nabi, hoping that the "spirit of peace, harmony and compassion" be strengthened.

"Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. May the spirit of peace, harmony & compassion be strengthened in society," Modi said in a tweet.

Eid Milad-Un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Mohammad is being celebrated in various parts of the country on Sunday.

People decorated houses, shops, streets and markets to celebrate the birth anniversary of the prophet.
