PM Modi govt working for welfare of masses: BJP leader

Pune, May 19: Highlighting achievements of the Modi government, BJP Vice President Vinay Sahasrabuddhe said on Friday, May 20 the government has been working towards welfare of masses while bringing in various people-centric schemes.

"In (the) last two years, the government had implemented various people-centric schemes and only worked towards welfare of people and their development," he said while delivering an address on the topic,'Two years of Modi Government', here.

The Vice President also claimed that since the Modi government came to power, "there has not been a single allegation of corruption against it." "In last two years, the government has brought in greater transparency, accountability and paved way for good governance," Sahasrabuddhe said.

Speaking about BJP's today's victory in Assam, Sahasrabuddhe said, "The people of Assam were hungry for development as they were deprived of development for several years, however, now they have shown faith in (Narendra) Modiji and (Chief Ministerial candidate) Sarbanand Sonowal."

While charting out various schemes of the NDA government, he said the government has been sensitive towards various sections of the society and has been working towards empowering the underprivileged.

The BJP today made history in Assam by securing majority in the north east, decimating Congress.
