Modi condemns Manhattan terror attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condemned the terror attack in New York in which eight persons were run over by a truck.

Taking to Twitter, Modi said,''Strongly condemn the terror attack in New York City. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased & prayers with those injured.''

Eight persons were killed and 12 injured after a truck ploughed into pedestrians in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday. The incident took place at a bike path on West Street, just a few blocks away from the World Trade Center. The suspect who is identified as Sayfullo Saipov from Florida has been arrested.
