Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at Congress government for rising political murders in the coastal region of the state. PM Modi was addressing the second election rally of the day at MGM College Grounds in Udupi.

At the outset, PM Modi was overwhelmed by 'Modi chant' from the audience. He said, "Your enthusiasm shows that the people of Karnataka have decided to defeat the Congress in the upcoming elections." He assured that he would return this love in the form of development.

PM Modi's speech was not only just political nature but also built emotional bonding with the people of Udupi by recalling the contribution of the people towards nation building. Especially, he recalled Mr Pai and others for their achievement in the banking sector, Commonwealth medallist medal Gururaja Poojary,

PM said, "Udupi is the land of Lord Parasurama. It is my pleasure to come and stand in this sacred land. Gururaja Poojary, a young man from Udupi won a medal in the Commonwealth Games. Udupi is the land of such heroes and powerful people. "

"We can also call Udupi as land "Land of Banking". People here started the banking revolution in the country. This is a contribution of the coastal city to the country," he said.

Thereafter, he spoke about political murders in the coastal region to attack the Congress government. "More than 23 BJP activists have been killed for political reasons. However, the government is not taking action," said PM.

He asked, " Will you make Karnataka a Congress-mukt state?"

Also, he alleged that the state government is behind the sand mafia and law enforcement agencies are hand in glove with the mafia.

PM Modi assured youngsters would get employment as under 'Sagaramala' project.

At the end of the speech, PM Modi called for Congress-mukt Karnataka. "Mahatma Gandhi's last wish was to dissolve the Congress party. But, now people have voted against Congress to fulfil Gandhi's dream. Now, the people of Karnataka will do it," he said.
