'Modernisation of Madrasas is the solution, not their closure', says Yogi Adityanath
The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday said that modernisation of Madrasas is the solution and not their closure.

Earlier on January 9, the Shia Central Waqf Board had asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban Madrasa education across the country as it is only producing unemployable Muslim youths. He also made a pitch for modernisation of the madrasas, saying some of them have even produced terrorists.
"How many madrasas have produced engineers, doctors, IAS officers?" Rizvi asked, as per ANI. "Yes, but some madrasas have produced terrorists," he added, stressing on the need to modernise them. He further said that the Islamic schools must be "affiliated to CBSE, ICSE etc and allow non-Muslim students
The chief minister of the state also said,'' We are committed to ensuring that government schemes reach all without any discrimination. We need to install this confidence among minorities that govt will work without discrimination.''
