Moderate intensity earthquake shakes Jammu Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 16: A moderate intensity earthquake shook parts of Jammu and Kashmir in the wee hours today but there was no report of any damage caused by the tremor.

An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter Scale occurred at 3.51 AM with its epicenter 43 kilometres north of Leh, in Ladakh region of the state, an official said.

He said There was no report of any damage due to the quake which caused panic among the residents of Ladakh region, he said.
