Mob Kills 5 Members Of A Family In Bihar's Purnia, Accuses Them Of Being Witches
A tragic event has unfolded in Tetgama village, located in Purnia district, Bihar. Five family members were brutally beaten and burned alive over witchcraft allegations. This shocking incident has deeply disturbed the community. The accused have fled, and police are actively pursuing them.
The tragedy began after Ramdev Oraon's son died during a local faith healing ritual three days ago. Another child of his was reportedly unwell. Villagers blamed these misfortunes on "witches" within the victim's family, leading to the brutal murder of five family members.

Witchcraft Allegations Lead to Tragedy
The victims have been identified as Babu Lal Oraon, Sita Devi, Manjeet Oraon, Rania Devi, and Tapto Mosamat. All belonged to the same family. Fear now grips the area, with many villagers fleeing their homes. Police presence is strong, with a dog squad and Forensic Science Laboratory team investigating.
Nakul Kumar has been arrested for allegedly inciting villagers to commit this heinous act. His role in instigating the violence is under investigation as authorities work to bring justice to the victims' families.
Survivor's Account of Horror
Lalit, the only surviving family member, shared his terrifying experience. He recounted how his family was first accused of witchcraft and then mercilessly beaten before being set on fire. "Somehow, I managed to escape with my life," he said, visibly shaken by the ordeal. After burning them, their bodies were discarded into water.
Police efforts continue as they search for those who remain at large following this horrific event.
