Mizoram: Cong announces list of candidates for Assembly elections

Assembly. Hence, it has decided to put up its candidates in all the seats.

According to sources, Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla is likely to contest from two seats-Serchhip constituency (his home turf) and from neighbouring Hrangturzo seat in Serchhip district in the Assembly elections to be held on November 25 as per the candidate list announced by the party on Saturday.

Hrangturzo seat is presently held by Lalthansanga of the Mizoram's People's Conference. The Congress bagged 32 seats in the 2008 assembly polls.
