Gurugram Police Successfully Rescue Missing Teenage Girl After Four Months in Uttar Pradesh
A 16-year-old girl from Gurugram, missing since August, has been found by the police. She had left her home in anger from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. Authorities reported on Monday that a man and his son, accused of taking her and sexually exploiting her, have been arrested.

After their arrest on Sunday, the suspects were brought to Gurugram. The court placed the father in judicial custody and his son in police custody. The girl has been reunited with her family, according to the police.
Rescue Operation and Arrests
The girl's family, residing near Khandsa village, reported her missing on August 22 at Sector 10 police station. On December 6, she called her mother from an unfamiliar number, saying she was unaware of her location. Her mother informed the police, who traced the call to Kannauj and rescued her on Sunday.
Following the girl's statement, Amar Singh and his son Jaswant were arrested. Both are from a village near Kannauj. A senior officer stated that charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act were added based on her account.
Details of the Incident
The girl recounted that after leaving home, she encountered Amar Singh at a bus stand. He took her to his village where both he and his son allegedly abused her. This led to their arrest and subsequent legal actions.
The case highlights the importance of swift action by authorities in tracing missing persons and ensuring their safety. The involvement of multiple agencies facilitated the girl's rescue and return to her family.
