Missing Malaysian plane: Chinese satellite spots floating objects

Beijing, March 22: Reportedly, Chinese satellites have found images of a floating object in the southern Indian Ocean, where the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 is currently underway, said an NST report.

The acting transport minister of China said the object measured about 22.5-metre long and 13-metre wide.

"I have some breaking news. The Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia (Huang Huikang) has received a satellite image of a floating object in the southern corridor. The Chinese government will be sending ships to verify," he announced at a press conference on Saturday.

The Beijing government is expected to provide more details shortly.
